Burgeoning theory: it’s human nature to assume that interesting strangers are more balanced than you are, but there’s really no basis for that, and it’s probably not true more often than it is. I mean, think of the people you do know intimately. Everyone is totally nuts.
I’m leaving tomorrow after work for Miami, where I’ll see Tracey and her family and Manny and Alvaro and Tony. Tracey lives right by the beach, which is why there are thunderstorms expected for the next nine days. Hurray! I’m still really excited, though, which I guess is why I’m announcing it to the world. In case there are any crazy internet stalkers reading this, I’ve arranged to have Mr. T watch my apartment while I’m out, so I pity the fool who tries to mess with my stuff.
I will return with pictures (did you notice I put my photo project on hold and put a flickr feed on the pictures page?) and less hair, though how much less is to be determined. I don’t expect to do anything crazy, but Tracey is dragging me to the salon, marking the first time in half a decade that my hair has been cut not by me while feeling like I need more chaos in my life.
Speaking of chaos, you should see my bed. I should decide which of these clothes I’m actually going to bring and finish my laundry. Goodnight!
