so: slight change of travel plans. i’m flying in and out of miami instead of flying straight to honduras from raleigh/durham. it’s a little cheaper that way, and brought the added perk of letting me get to miami a day before the trip so tracey and i can get our hair done and get the kind of girl-talk that pretty much only college roommates have out of the way before we catch up with the boys.
i meant to schedule my return flight from miami such that i wouldn’t have to leave the airport after i got in from honduras. i actually like camping in airports and it seemed like a very clean way of doing things. but i accidentally scheduled the return flight for two days after that, and changing the flights on such short notice was going to make the fare three times as much. so i called tracey and we decided i’ll just stick around in miami. she lives right near the beach, so i should really have no issue keeping myself busy while she goes back to work.
i will return on the 26th now, and in what is quite an exciting development indeed, i think Ben is going to pick me up at the airport.

i wrote that earlier today, but i need to interrupt that thought and post right now because i just opened my birthday present from my brother. You know what it is?
MY BROTHER MADE ME A NIXIE TUBE CLOCK. HOLY CRAP. I HAVE WANTED A NIXIE TUBE CLOCK FOR-EV-AH. THIS IS THE BEST PRESENT I HAVE EVER, EVER GOTTEN. I AM THE HAPPIEST PERSON ON EARTH.

and i am eating Better Made potato chips and drinking beer from the Fort Street Brewery and having the best michigan time ever and we have redpop and mackinac island fudge ice cream and everything good from michigan and we’re talking about how freaking amazing michigan is and now we’re all going to go play rock band and i’m so happy yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more soon!
